Cheesecake and family.

My little brother Brian was here visiting all week from North Carolina where he's stationed as a Marine. He's been helping me out at home quite a bit and spending quality time with Lil' Kaia. Last night, my hubby Brian and I took my siblings and Brian's mom Beckie out to a lovely, yummy dinner at The Cheesecake Factory for the first time. Good times were had....there's something to be said about cheesecake and family. xo <3

Our little girl...Kaia (pronounced ky-ah) Susan Le was born Wednesday, May 13th, two days before her due date, at 11:21 a.m. weighing 6 pounds 13 ounces at 19 & 1/2 inches long. She greeted us with a ton of jet black hair (with some brown highlights), chubby cheeks, long eyelashes and a pouty little smile.

Labor was 12 hours...and even though Camilla had an epidural, it wore off and once dilated to a 10 and time to push, she pushed for two hours, feeling everything...and knew exactly when a contraction was coming on. Quite the painful experience, but definitely well worth it.

Mommy, Daddy and Baby are trying to rest. This new mommyhood/daddyhood experience is tough work and is exhausting! We love all of you and are beyond thankful for your gifts, visits, text messages and phone calls. We're a little overwhelmed right now, so will be in touch as soon as we can.

We love our little Kaia and are so happy to have her here!!!!! More pictures to come...
